There are many opportunities within TEDxSalford, we are looking for hard working and dedicated people, people who will stick with the project and work hard to make it happen as a team.
We are recruiting for our top management positions which can lead to some amazing opportunities such as internships and employment, these roles however are only accessible by joining one of the teams and working hard so that we can recognize your skills. Available positions are filled as soon as possible on a rolling basis.
There are a number of teams that are being put together to achieve this project, all of which require dedication and hard work, all of which will culminate into a real sense of achievement when TEDxSalford happens. For any enquiries, contact [email protected]

Management
Managing Director
To work closely with the Curator to ensure the flawless execution of TEDxSalford 3.0. This includes but is not necessarily limited to: organisational management, managing the ticketing system, entry management, development of publicity plan, coordination with the venue team and volunteer management. The Managing Director must be able to communicate effectively with the Curator, service providers, coordinate a team quickly and efficiently and be able to deal with a range of unexpected problems.
Skills and qualities required:
- Understanding of the various components that go into event management
- Able to ensure that the event is run to a highly professional standard
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Strong people management and communication skills
- Flexibility and iniative
Creative Director
Responsible for the handling the technical and design aspect of the event. This includes overall direction of all design aspects of the event, ensuring that all work is of high quality and consistent style. Responsibilities include design of posters, marketing material, speaker and sponsorship packs, the event booklet, the website, assistance with speakers’ presentation slides and stage design. The Director himself would not necessarily be required to create all of the above but all designs would need to be approved by this person in order to ensure that standards and consistency are maintained.
Skills and qualities required:
- Attention to detail
- Considerable experience in graphic design & web development
- Excellent organisational skills
- Detailed understanding of the TEDx brand and image
I.T. & Design Team
3D Animator/Modeler/Renderer
- Should be able to produce and render 3D graphics that will be integrated in various promotional materials (videos / flyers / posters etc.)
Web Developer
- Ability to maintain and customize the existing TEDxSalford website
- Knowledge in Javascript/jQuery is mandatory
Photographer
- Must own and be able to operate DSLR to acceptable standard
- Owning a f1.4 “nifty fifty” lens will be beneficial to your application
Graphic Designer
- Needs to be comfortable with creating bitmap and/or vector graphics (Photoshop/Illustrator) to be used in still images or in motion graphics and posters/flyers
2D Animator/ GFX artist
- We need an able person that is proficient with compositing and creation of animated GFX. Main responsibilities will include creating short video introductions for speakers and introduction videos for conference. This can extend to customised videos for individual talks.

Marketing Team
Marketing Officer
- Marketing officers will be responsible for executing the TEDxSalford marketing strategy under guidance from the team leader
- Multiple roles available
- Will be given a quota of tasks to meet per week.
- Work with the team to advertise TEDxSalford using social/print media, and any other publicity methods
Speakers Team
Speaker Liaison Officer
- Speaker Liaison officers are responsible for suggesting and contacting potential speakers with the support and guidance of the Speakers Team Leader
- Multiple roles available
- Will be given a quota to meet per week.
- Due to the high profile nature of the speakers we contact, a high level of competency with English Language is required for this position
